Where is the church not yet?
“At least 59,000”
Researchers say there are at least 59,000 villages in Nigeria. But, at this point, nobody (no one!) knows which villages have churches – and which do not. Let’s change that.
How will we begin?
ACHIEVE Nigeria springs from the Coalition of the Willing or COTW. COTW forms collaborative alliances to determine where the church is. These teams then work together to take the church into the villages where the church isn’t.
What’s the main idea?
As we share data with one another at various levels (country, state, LGA, village etc), the gaps become easier to see. We can begin to see the places where the church has not yet been planted and focus together on those locations.

ACHIEVE Nigeria?
In short – “A Church in Every Village Everywhere (ACHIEVE) in Nigeria.”
How does it work – practically?
ACHIEVE Nigeria will seek to make lots of friends, learn and listen, then look and analyze. We will build a secure national map of Nigeria (the first of its kind) featuring every village in the entire nation. In a secure fashion, we’ll track where is the spiritual poverty.
All along the way…
We’ll share the Good News freely to any who will listen. Through any ethical and honest means, we’ll make sure every village has a fair chance to have a church — if they want one.
We believe that Nigeria is made up of a number of Target Areas.
A target area might be described as a region of 500 to 2,000 villages. Once we begin understanding Target Areas together (which areas still need the church), we’ll seek to mobilize teams — churches, local agencies, and/or global organizations – to embrace these regions. In each of those areas, we’ll team up with any local churches or agencies, pray together, and share the love of Jesus with anyone and everyone who is interested in knowing Him.
